The grounds and house were beautiful and very charming! Everything was very comfortable: the bed, temperature, noise level (very quiet), privacy, comfortable and a great value. It was an easy drive into downtown Newport. Lili was super responsive and helpful. I had a lovely stay!

I never feel moved enough by a property to write a review, but I needed to recommend the Hamilton Hoppin House to anyone thinking of staying!! The home is just absolutely beautiful - it felt like stepping into another time. It was so peaceful and quiet, and easy access into the house and the room itself, which was massive and so well-kept. If you find yourself looking for a serene, historic getaway in the area, this is your place!

The Hamilton Hoppin House, also known as Villa 120 is a stylishly restored 9-bedroom Historical Mansion located just minutes away from downtown Newport. The estate was originally designed by the noted 19th-century architect Richard Upjohn and one of the first Italianate stick-style houses built in the United States. This mid-19th century architectural style encompassed a preference for asymmetry, variety, and natural landscaping.

Our NEW complimentary high performance "fiber optic" wireless internet is provided to keep you connected to the world. Your room includes LED Televisions, bottled water, alarm clock/speaker, refrigerator, corkscrew, hair dryer and a coffee maker if you choose to hide away in your room. Two rooms have gas fireplaces, and two other rooms have standalone tubs so you can unwind and soak the day away.
